AN INAUGURAL EVENT
THE HOPE MOVEMENT:
Applying the Science
Hope isn’t just a feeling, it’s an active verb…
It is a teachable skill that scientists see as three stages: goal-setting, path-finding, and hope-sustaining, each needing to be cultivated. Hope has a major impact on virtually all phases of one’s life. It focuses our minds and makes us resilient; with hope we are able to face adversity with confidence, building upon our capacities for understanding and compassion. With hope, faith and science work hand in hand. Join the conversation!
What you can expect from this conference...
The Science of Hope Conference is about the intersections of research and community, of science and lived experience. During the conference and breakout sessions for education, healthcare, law enforcement, and faith and service organizations, attendees can expect to come away with tools to understand how hope drives your agency and what you can do to nurture it.
